June - 2008

June 19, 2008 - My third year in college has come to a close, and it's so hard to believe. Just yesterday it felt as though I was wandering aimlessly around campus and struggling to figure out where my classes were. The thought of only having one year left is scary, yet exhilarating. I'll definitely be happy to be on my own, making my own life and having adventures along the way. In the mean time, I hope to find a temporary job to supplement the lack of income (unfortunately, my current job doesn't carry over for the summer).

I haven't even been off for a week and I already miss school. I miss a schedule, and the amount of mental work that went along with it. School has always been an interesting dichotemy for me - when I'm in it, it can be a burden and a pressure. But when I'm out of it, I miss it like nothing else. Learning, now, that's something that I always find beautiful no matter what time of year it is, or the setting in which it's placed.

Additionally, I've been feeling restless. There's a part of me that can't seem to calm down, and I don't know what that's due to. I'd love to jump in a car with a bunch of friends and take off just to see where we'd end up. I'm sure the feeling will pass - it's most likely a matter of keeping myself busy enough to not let idleness set in.
