New layout!! This one features the lovely and talented Natalie Portman. I figured I was long due for a layout change considering one hasn't been made in well over a month. Yikes.
Only a couple more days and then it's Thanksgiving. I'll be in Cambria (and unfortunately my homework will be joining me on this venture) with my family, at a hotel by the oceanside. The best part is, we're stopping at the Madonna Inn on the way back home which means I'll get a piece of Crunch Cake!! It's one of the few places in California that actually still makes it. I made one a couple of months ago, and it turned out quite well. That was the one that used the candy thermometer and took me two days. Sooo worth it though! Calories basically don't count.
I've been doing my best to keep in shape by running at least 3x per week. And with luck, I'll get my time down. I'm really hoping to run 2 miles in under 18 minutes - that would be lovely. Not only has the exercise helped with my sleep, it's also made me feel a lot more alert and at ease.
Also! I've signed up for a make-up event at Nordstrom's with my roommate. Normally I would never do something like this, but she's been wanting to learn how to properly apply make-up, learn techniques and styles, etc. She didn't want to go alone, so I decided to go with her. Did I mention we get $15 worth of make-up? Not too shabby.
On a completely different note, I cannot believe how fast this quarter has gone. I just hope things work out with my classes!

Yesterday was Guy Fawkes Day! He was the guy for which "V for Vendetta" was made =) Such an amazing movie.
Life has been alright - quite busy, but good. I can't complain too much (well, i suppose I could but I choose not to!).
I've been thinking about how prepared people are for life. Some take to it like a fish to water, and others are like children playing with fire. I feel like the latter. Trying to figure it out, discovering it can be harmful, and learning how to contain it and use it properly. Sometimes things feel as though they're in fast-forward, and your head and heart can't catch up. Sort of like a race that speeds ahead beyond your capacity to run.
But yet we persist and do the best we can.
My Geology professor informed us that we have an optional field trip that's going to take place at an inactive volcano site! How amazing is that!? I may just have to go.
